Position Overview

The Data Entry Specialist has prime responsibility for the collection of service related data, including all service-related financial expense data, and its input into the HMIS service database. Both functions are critical to JOIN’s contract compliance, responsibilities, and its ability to report on program outcomes and account for money expensed. This position reports to the data coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client data entry into Service Point
  • Filing
  • General JOIN services data entry
  • Run data reports in support of management requests
  • Data clean-up support

Core Competencies Required:

  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular)
  • Data collection systems – Service Point is a plus
  • Detail and data oriented – This is not a service centered position
  • Commitment to Confidentiality
  • Ability to work with short deadlines
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team but also capable of self-directed initiative
  • Commitment to non-judgmental, non-violent and holistic responses to those in need.
  • Be self-motivated and work well in unstructured, sometimes chaotic, team environment.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive environment where all people feel welcomed

Salary: $36,700 full-time exempt
Benefits: Compensation includes 10 paid holidays, 168 hours of paid time off (with annual increases to 208 hours at 5 years), 2 weeks paid parent leave, 8 week paid sabbatical after 7 years, health & dental benefits premiums 100% paid for employees and dependents, employer paid $50,000 life insurance as well as short and long term disability, flexible medical savings and dependent reimbursement accounts, Employee Assistance Program, and unmatched 403b plan participation available.
